The terms that apply when you use DR.FONE’s in-store repair, sales and trade-in services in Nicosia — how quotes and approvals work, what our repair warranty covers, your responsibility for backups, and how payments are handled.

Draft for review: this document is a working draft and must be reviewed by a qualified legal advisor before publication.

Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms apply to the services provided by [DRFONE_LEGAL_NAME] (“DR.FONE”, “we”, “us”), located at [DRFONE_ADDRESS], Nicosia, Cyprus (VAT: [VAT_NUMBER]). They cover:

  • In-store repair of phones, tablets, laptops and related devices.
  • Sales of new and used devices, accessories and parts in our shop.
  • Trade-in services, where we buy or accept your used device in part-exchange.

By handing in a device for repair, buying from us, or trading in a device, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Cyprus and EU law.

Quotes and approval

We work diagnosis-first:

  • When you bring in a device, we first diagnose the fault and give you a quote for the repair.
  • Repair work starts only after you approve the quoted price.
  • If we discover additional faults during the repair that change the price, we will contact you for approval before continuing.
  • If you decline a quote, you can collect your device; any diagnostic fee, where one applies, will be made clear to you before diagnosis begins.

Repair warranty

Repairs carried out by DR.FONE are covered by our repair warranty: [WARRANTY_POLICY]. The exact scope and exclusions of this warranty are to be confirmed and will be stated on your repair receipt. As a general rule, the warranty covers the repair work performed and the parts we fitted — it does not cover unrelated faults, subsequent accidental damage, liquid damage, or interference with the repair by a third party. This warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, your legal rights under Cyprus and EU consumer law.

Your data and risk of data loss

You are responsible for backing up your device before handing it in for repair. While we take care with every device, some repairs — particularly those involving storage, motherboards or liquid damage — carry an unavoidable risk of data loss, and we cannot guarantee that the data on your device will be preserved. We recommend that you back up your data and, where possible, remove or lock sensitive information before the repair. For details of how we handle personal data on devices, see our Privacy Policy.

Uncollected devices

Please collect your device promptly once we tell you it is ready. If a device remains uncollected for [UNCOLLECTED_DEVICE_PERIOD] after we notify you that it is ready (or that a quote was declined), we will make reasonable attempts to contact you using the details you provided. Devices that remain uncollected after that period and those contact attempts may be treated as abandoned and disposed of or sold to cover the cost of the work and storage, to the extent permitted by Cyprus law.

Used device sales and trade-in

  • Grading disclosed — used devices we sell are graded by condition, and the grade and any known cosmetic or functional issues are disclosed before you buy.
  • Ownership declaration — when you sell or trade in a device, you must confirm that you are the lawful owner, that the device is not stolen or subject to outstanding finance, and that you have removed your accounts and activation locks (for example, Find My iPhone or Google account locks).
  • Trade-in valuations are based on the condition of the device as inspected in store and may differ from any preliminary estimate.

Payments

We accept card and cash payments in store. Prices for repairs are those agreed in your approved quote; prices for products are those displayed at the time of sale. Where required, a receipt or invoice is provided for every transaction.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and applicable EU law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus. If you have a problem with our service, please contact us first at [DRFONE_EMAIL] or [DRFONE_PHONE] — most issues can be resolved quickly and directly.
